I will always remember his warm smile, regardless of what hour of the day it was, or how complicated our patients may have been. He truly was the epitome of a compassionate physician and set an example for us all. I cannot imagine our hospitals without him, and those of us who were lucky enough to work with him will forever feel his absence.

This is Sally Jane Rowley a woman of principles. In 1961 Sally joined the Mississippi Freedom Rides. She was on a Greyhound Bus from Nashville Tennessee to Jackson Mississippi when she was arrested and sentenced to 6 months in the Parhcman State Penitentiary

He was a prominent Venezuelan internist and rheumatologist, and he died on Wednesday April 1 in the city of Miami, United States.
